TB has become the no. 1 killer in the slums of Mumbai which consists of large migrant population living in unhygienic conditions. These areas have become a hotbed of TB and the cases of dreaded MDR-TB (Multi drug resistant TB) are on the rise.

SEWT conduct regular awareness campaign in the slums involving people from different walk of life for the prevention of TB Students of various schools of the area conduct house to house visit spreading the message of early detection of TB and the importance of DOTS. Regular interaction sessions are held between the slum dwellers and the doctors from the National TB CONTROL PROGRAMME.
